Barbados Pride trail Trinidad and Tobago Red Force by 93 runs after a humbling first day in their regional four-day clash at Kensington Oval.

Having bowled out the Pride for 86 runs, the visitors ended the day on 182-4 with Amir Jangoo unbeaten on 37 and Yannic Cariah partnering on 19 not out. Jason Holder was the most impactful Pride bowler with figures of 2-35 and has been supported by Kemar Roach’s 1-31 and Matthew Forde’s 1-39.

After three successive home victories against lower-ranked opposition, the Pride were dealt a sobering reality check by a formidable Red Force unit today. Though Trinidad Carnival officially ended last week, the visitors kept the celebrations going in the middle, especially in the opening session.
