A peaceful walk against gun violence will take place this Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, starting at Kendall Hill Gas Station and ending at Silver Hill Hardcourt.

The event, Solemn Walk #4, is being organized by The Marcia Weekes Show and the Loyal Opposition Pressure Group in response to concerns over violent crime in the country.

Organizers say the walk is intended to honour the life of Shawnathan Chase, a recent victim of gun violence, and show support for the Silver Hill community, which has been impacted by crime. The event is described as a prayerful gathering, with no speeches planned, only moments of reflection and calls for peace.

According to the organizing group, the initiative is aimed at fostering unity and encouraging action to address gun violence. They are calling on Barbadians from all backgrounds to participate.
