A 74-year-old woman who sought to fraudulently obtain $185 000 from her dead aunt’s bank account, will return to court on May 23 for sentencing submissions.

Eileen Veronica Smith , formerly of Horse Hill, St Joseph, and now of Mapp Hill, St Michael, appeared in the No. 4A Supreme Court before Justice Donna Babb-Agard yesterday where she pleaded guilty to six counts of theft and forgery dating back to 2010.
The charges were that:
• with intent to defraud, she uttered a forged cheque to FirstCaribbean International Bank (FCIB) and obtained $10 000, knowing the same to be forged, on August 30, 2010;
• with intent to defraud, uttered a forged cheque from FCIB and obtained $20 000, knowing the same to be forged, on August 31, 2010;
• with intent to defraud, uttered to Butterfield Bank Barbados Ltd a FirstCaribbean cheque for $60 000,
on August 30, 2010;
