UWI Blackbirds are the repeat double crown queens of senior volleyball.

On Wednesday night, the Blackbirds shockingly held on to their league title after KFC Deacons were upset by Burger King Clapham Toners at the Wildey Gymnasium to squander what looked like a sure crown all season.

With Ashley Jordan leading the way for Toners they upset Deacons 15-25, 25-19, 25-20, 18-25, 15-12.

After losing to UWI on Monday night the all-season leaders Deacons merely had to beat a struggling Toners and Warrens tonight. However, with the Blackbirds completing their season with a 26-24, 25-21, 25-16 dismissal of Warrens they ended with 12 wins, two losses and 55 points to retain the title. (KB)
