Man shot during altercation in St. Michael

A man was shot during an altercation at Brathwaite Gap, Dayrells Road, St. Michael, on Thursday night.

Police at Hastings Worthing Station responded to reports of the shooting around 8:30 p.m. Investigations revealed that the victim was involved in a dispute with three men when he was shot in the neck.

Despite his injuries, he managed to escape and sought help from nearby residents. Emergency responders transported him to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where he remains under medical care.

Police are continuing investigations and have urged anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477, Police Emergency at 211, or Hastings Worthing Police Station at 430-7614 or 430-7615.
