Holetown stabbing victim is identified

The man who was killed at 1st Street Holetown, St James, today has been identified.

Police say he is Amani Kanye Lorde, 20 years, of Hutson Alley, Mason Hall Street, St Michael. He was involved in an altercation with another man around 2:30 p.m.

Following a report made to the police, an officer who arrived at the scene saw Lorde’s body lying in the road after he was fatally stabbed.

A medical doctor visited the scene and pronounced death.

Anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed this incident is asked to contact the Holetown Station at 419-1700, 419-1703, Police Emergency 211, Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1800-8477 or the nearest Police Station.

One man was fatally stabbed during an altercation with another man at 1st Street, Holetown, St James today.

An officer on duty in the western town was alerted to the scene where he saw the body of a male lying in the road.

A medical doctor visited the scene and pronounced death.

  1. Holetown teeming with tourists. What an absolutely shocking incident to witness. Bajans are far too volatile and many with an explosive temper. Far too many knife crimes for such a small islands. My sympathies and condolences to the victim of this latest atrocity and to all who knew and loved him
