At least 60 schools are said to have been impacted by the sickout led by the Barbados Union of Teachers (BUT).
President Rudy Lovell told the Nation Online while schools were opened, many were understaffed.
The BUT is advocating the restoration for term’s leave to conditions prior to 2014.
Efforts so far to reach Chief Education Officer Dr Ramona Archer-Bradshaw were futile.
