Barbadian photographer Reco Moore has been selected to participate in the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP).

Moore, who works with The Nation Publishing Company, travelled to the United States on May 3 to join a three-week project titled “Photojournalism: Storytelling with Images.”

The IVLP is a professional exchange initiative that offers participants an opportunity to engage with American institutions and explore U.S. society and culture. This particular program focuses on photojournalism, including the role of imagery in democratic societies, developments in visual storytelling, and the impact of artificial intelligence on journalism.

Participants are also expected to discuss media ethics and legal standards in the U.S. context.

The U.S. Embassy confirmed Moore’s participation and described the program as a platform for international collaboration and professional development in journalism. (PR)
