Shooting in the Pine

Update– Police are investigating a shooting that occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday along Wharfdale Road, Pine, St Michael.

According to reports from the District ‘A’ Police Station, two men were standing outside a residence having a conversation when they heard several gunshots.

Both men quickly ran into the house for cover. It was only after the commotion that one of them realized he had been shot.

The injured man managed to drive himself to a medical facility, where he received treatment for what has been described as a non-life-threatening injury.

Investigations are ongoing, and law enforcement officials are appealing to anyone with information on the incident to contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-8477, Police Emergency at 211, or District ‘A’ Police Station at 430-7242 or 430-7246.
