West Indies Women will be going after their first win of the ongoing tour when they come up against England Women in the third and final T20 International on Monday. The Windies lost the first match by eight wickets, despite a superb century by captain Hayley Matthews. The second match was completely one-sided as England won nine wickets.

West Indies Women’s head coach Shane Deitz says the regional team cannot continue to depend solely on captain and star play Matthews if they are to become one of the best teams in the world. After scoring a sparkling, unbeaten century in the opening T20I against England Women on Wednesday, Matthews made just six runs in Friday’s second match and the West Indies were restricted to a paltry 81 for nine.

Monday’s match at the Essex County Ground in Chelmsford will start at 9:30am (Barbados Time). This series will be followed by three One-Day Internationals – schedule below

  • First ODI: Friday May 30 (8am) – Derby
  • Second ODI: Wednesday June 4 (8am) – Leicester
  • Third ODI: Saturday June 7 (6am) – Taunton
