Man found dead in church car park

Update – Police have identified the man found dead in the car park of Abundant Life Assembly, Bank Hall, St Michael, as 33-year-old Daron Devere Elias of Long Gap, Spooners Hill, St Michael.

The discovery was made around 12:04 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2025, after police at the Operations Control Room received a report of a male lying motionless at the location.

Officers from District โ€˜Aโ€™ Police Station responded and found Eliasโ€™ body bearing what appeared to be multiple stab wounds. The Barbados Ambulance Service was summoned, and personnel confirmed there were no signs of life. A medical doctor later visited the scene and officially pronounced death.

Elias was positively identified by a family member.

Police are continuing investigations into the unnatural death and are appealing to anyone with information to contact District โ€˜Aโ€™ Police Station at 430-7242 or 430-7246, Police Emergency at 211, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIPS (8477), or the nearest police station.

Police are investigating the suspected stabbing death of a man whose body was discovered in the car park of the Abundant Life Assembly in Bank Hall, St Michael early Saturday morning.

According to reports from the Barbados Police Service, the Operations Control Room received a call around 12:04 a.m. on Friday, alerting them to a male lying motionless in the area.

Officers from the District โ€˜Aโ€™ Police Station responded and discovered the body bearing what appeared to be multiple stab wounds. Personnel from the Barbados Ambulance Service examined the victim and found no signs of life. A medical doctor later confirmed the death at the scene.

The deceased had not yet been identified.

Police investigations are ongoing.
