Six Roads shooting victim identified

Barbados’ latest shooting victim has been identified as Cameron Elcock, 22 years, of Rendezvous Gardens, Christ Church.

He succumbed to injuries at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) on Thursday after sustaining injuries during a robbery at Six Roads, St Philip.

According to police, Elcock and another male relative – whose names have not been made public – were securing the business when they were approached by two armed men who demanded jewellery.

In the ensuing struggle, several shots were discharged and both were hit. Elcock was transported to the QEH by private vehicle where he later passed away, while the other relative was receiving treatment for his injuries. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

This is the 23rd homicide for 2025.
