Update: Police have confirmed the identity of the man whose body was discovered early Saturday morning in the Careenage, Bridgetown.
He has been identified as 52-year-old Clethan Harewood of Pickwick Gap, St Michael. According to law enforcement, a passerby noticed a body floating in the water around 5:50 a.m. on June 14 and alerted authorities. Officers arrived on the scene and pulled the unresponsive man from the water. A medical doctor later pronounced him dead at the scene.
The circumstances surrounding Harewood’s death are currently being treated as an unnatural death, though police say foul play has not yet been confirmed.
