Fatal shooting in The Ivy

Update: Police have identified the man fatally shot in The Ivy, St Michael, early Monday morning as 39-year-old Anderson Calderon of North Close, Wildey, St Michael.

The shooting occurred around 12:03 a.m. along Skeetes Road. According to police, Calderon was in the area when several gunshots were fired, striking and fatally injuring him. A medical doctor pronounced him dead at the scene.

This incident marks the 25th homicide for the year.

District ‘A’ Police Station is continuing investigations and is appealing to anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477, Police Emergency at 211, or District ‘A’ at 430-7242 or 430-7246.

Police were on the scene early this morning following a fatal shooting in The Ivy, St Michael.

One man was shot and killed in the incident. His identity has not yet been released, and investigations are ongoing.
