Fatal shooting in The Ivy

Update: Police have identified the man fatally shot in The Ivy, St Michael, early Monday morning as 39-year-old Anderson Calderon of North Close, Wildey, St Michael.

The shooting occurred around 12:03 a.m. along Skeetes Road. According to police, Calderon was in the area when several gunshots were fired, striking and fatally injuring him. A medical doctor pronounced him dead at the scene.

This incident marks the 25th homicide for the year.

District โ€˜Aโ€™ Police Station is continuing investigations and is appealing to anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477, Police Emergency at 211, or District โ€˜Aโ€™ at 430-7242 or 430-7246.

Police were on the scene early this morning following a fatal shooting in The Ivy, St Michael.

One man was shot and killed in the incident. His identity has not yet been released, and investigations are ongoing.
