Christ Church man on cannabis charges

A 33 year old man was granted bail to the tune of $10 000 when he appeared in the District ‘B’ Magistrates’ Court on Monday, charged with offences in two different jurisdictions.

Ramon Nathan Ward of Lot 1, Hopewell, Christ Church, was not allowed to plead to the offences which allegedly occurred on August 29.

In District ‘B’, he was charged with possession of cannabis, trafficking and intent to supply 2.8 kilogrammes with an estimated street value of $22 400.

He faced similar charges in Oistins, this time in connection with 0.832 kilogrammes of cannabis with an estimated value of $6 656.

Magistrate Bernadette John granted bail with one surety and Ward is scheduled to reappear on September 3 at Oistins and on December 3, 2025 on the matters I District ‘B’. (PR/SAT)
