Fatal accident at The Garden

UPDATE:

Police at Holetown Station are conducting investigations into a fatal collision, which occurred about 1:42 p.m. along the Garden, St James involving two motor vehicles. 

Preliminary investigations have shown that both vehicles were traveling from Speightstown, St Peter, towards Holetown when they were involved in a collision. A male who was a passenger on the tray of one of the vehicles succumbed to injuries sustained at the scene.

The deceased has been identified as Josiah Carmichael, 18 years of Brownes Gap, Jackson, St Michael.

Two other people complained of injuries as a result of the collision.

Investigations are continuing and anyone who may have witnessed this collision is asked to contact the Holetown Police Station at 419-170001.

There are reports reaching The Nation of a road fatality at The Garden, St James.

One man, who was riding in the tray of a vehicle, is said to have died on the scene. Another person is believed to have sustained an injury.
