Two men appeared before the Holetown Magistrates’ Court today charged in connection with the seizure of a large quantity of cannabis valued at more than $1.5 million.

Shawn Okeefe Bridgeman, 52, of Drax Hall Hope, St George, and Lenox Persid, 53, of #23 Mt Wilton, St Thomas, were arrested by police and formally charged with possession of cannabis, trafficking in cannabis, and intent to supply cannabis, offences allegedly committed on December 12, 2025.
The suspected cannabis is estimated to weigh 395.3 kilograms, with a reported street value of $1,581,200 Bds.
They appeared before Magistrate Ward-Sargeant in the Holetown Magistrates’ Court today. Both men were not required to plead to the indictable offences and were granted bail in the sum of $500,000 Bds each, with one surety each.
The matters have been transferred to the District ‘D’ Magistrates’ Court, where they are scheduled to reappear on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.
