Grass fires leave Sweet Vale folks fearful

Life is not so sweet for some residents of Sweet Vale, St George, who are raising the alarm over a neighbour’s pyromaniac tendencies.

They say his habit of setting fires is not only causing them a great deal of discomfort, but is also burning their pockets. 

For some, the last straw came after a grass fire last Wednesday caused respiratory issues for several of them and it required a response from the Barbados Fire Service.

 An officer at the St John Fire Station confirmed that a unit from the Bridgetown Fire Station responded to reports of a grass fire on the same day.
