However, Ramon Akeem Doyle will spend 35 years, 239 days after his time on remand was deducted from the starting sentence.
Doyle, of Leinster Road, Waterford, St Michael, had gone on trial for murdering 39-year-old Victor Watson, formerly of Lower Deacons Road, St Michael, on December 3, 2021.
He was represented by Senior Counsel Angella Mitchell-Gittens, while Director of Public Prosecutions Alliston Seale, SC, Principal State Counsel Rudolph Burnett and Senior State Counsel Paul Prescod prosecuted. (HLE)
