The man who died after being stabbed near the Vendors Market on Fairchild Street, St Michael, on Wednesday morning has been identified as 42-year-old Andre Jamal Harry.
Harry, of 1st Avenue, Ivy, St Michael, was stabbed during an altercation involving several males.
Police Operations Control Room received a report of the incident around 9 a.m.
Harry was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in a public service vehicle, where he succumbed to his injuries.
A person of interest is assisting police with the investigation.
