Man dies at Holetown beach

Police and ambulance responded twice to a man who had fallen on the beach at Holetown earlier today. The second time they returned he was already dead.

Vendor Pasty Jordan said she knew the man as a regular on the beach.

“He was lying on the chair and fell. The police and ambulance came and they checked his vitals. He came to by then and they left. An hour after he went back lying down and then he fell again and this time hit his head.

“When I saw him he was shaking like he was having a seizure and I called both the ambulance and police gain.

“The police came but the ambulance took a while to come but by that time he was dead.”

Jordan said the man, Anderson Payne helped to load the glass bottom boat rides and put out the chairs.

He was identified by his mother. (NS)
