A 28-year-old St Philip man has been charged with eight drug offences following the seizure of suspected cocaine and cannabis.

Ché DeVonte Alleyne, of #87 Apartment 2, Duncans Circle, Windward Garden, St Philip, was arrested and formally charged by the Barbados Police Service Narcotics Unit.
He faces charges of importing, possessing, trafficking and intending to supply cocaine and cannabis.
Police said 3.3 kilograms of suspected cocaine were seized, with an estimated street value of $165,000.
A further 135.5 kilograms of suspected cannabis were seized, with an estimated street value of $867,200.
Alleyne appeared before Magistrate (Ag) Shakieda Sealy in District ‘A’ Criminal Court #2 on Monday. He was not required to enter a plea to the indictable offences and was remanded to the Barbados Prison Service at Dodds.
He is scheduled to reappear in court on October 19.
