Limited, will be officially launching the prestigious Barbados’ Best Employer Award later this week.This biennial initiative is the first of its kind to recognise and honour local organisations with exemplary human resources practices, policies and programmes. Barbados’ Best Employer Award will focus on the human resource practices and climate of organisations and will showcase groups that demonstrate a commitment to their human resources through the adoption of progressive employment strategies.Director of Caribbean Catalyst Inc., Katrina Sam, said it had been proven that there was a strong correlation between profitability and good HR practices.“We felt that it was an optimal time to recognise and celebrate those businesses in Barbados which have implemented well designed and sustainable HR programmes.”Eligible participants in the Barbados’ Best Employer Award will benefit by having their HR programme and practices independently assessed by a team of HR professionals who will be able to benchmark their human resource initiatives with other companies on the island.CEO/Publisher of the Nation Publishing Co.
