Dear Christine,My heart goes out to the lady who wrote to you about her dad’s death dated, Wednesday, May 12, 2010 Hard Time Coping With Dad’s Death.I just wanted to tell her not to give up. I know depression is a terrible thing. I also lost my dad about ten years ago, and I have a sister who just couldn’t cope with his death. We all tried to help her, but nothing seemed to work. So I know how this person feels, especially when you think that no one cares. But people do care. I care and lots of the readers of your column do too. Everyone responded and said, please lady, whoever you are please don’t take your life, you will hurt so many people who love you. Please, I’m begging you.You will get over it. It will take some time but you will.I tried so hard to help my sister cope with our dad’s death but she just couldn’t. Turn to God and ask Him to help you cope and you will find a way. Take care of yourself.– ROSALINDDEAR ROSALIND,
Thank you for your caring words. I am sure the young lady appreciatesyour empathy.– CHRISTINE
