ISLAMABAD – Pakistan will play its ‘home’ series against South Africa in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) later this year due to foreign teams’ continuing security concerns about touring in Pakistan.
The Pakistan Cricket Board announced the itinerary yesterday, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi as the venues for two Test matches, five One-Day Internationals and one Twenty20 international in October and November.
Security has been an issue since gunmen attacked the Sri Lankan team bus in Lahore in March, 2009, leaving six policemen and a driver dead and several Sri Lanka players injured. (AP)
