Struggling with children that aren’t mine

Dear Christine,
I am writing to you because I have seen how you give good advice to people who share their problems with you.
Now to my problem. My boyfriend has a seven-year-old son living with him. I also have a two-year-old son. The mother of his children had another baby living with her. When she found out that he had another girlfriend and that I was living at his house she brought the baby and put him on our step and went on her way.
Christine, I think that the responsibility for children should be shared between the two parents. If he has one child she should have the other. This woman does not even come to look for her children on weekends when she is off. I am finding it hard to raise her two children. Please give me a reply soon. Thanks.

Dear T.U.C,
Let me tell you from the very beginning my sympathy is with the children. One mother giving her children up to a father who is living with another woman who also has a child is not an easy situation.
The children’s mother is in a way making him pay for deserting her for another woman – you.
I have no answer to your problem except to hope that all concerned will do everything possible to save the children from suffering.
– CHRISTINE
