THE SHOWDOWN that fitness fans have been eagerly awaiting will take place at the Plantation Garden Theatre on Sunday, when 12 women clash in the Powerade Island Fitness Pageant.
Over the past six months the competitors have been dieting and training on the beach and in the gym – perfecting their fitness routines for the event.
Last year’s winner Antoinette Downie will not be back, but event organiser Dave Waldron said the show would be very competitive, with the younger talent eager to test their seniors. Showtime is at 7 p.m.
The line-up: Kerri Gibson, Christina Atherley, Shawntelle Marshall, Maria Walters, Idelia Eastmond, Virgene Maynard, Odelia Hackett, Tanishia Callender, Suriya Daya, Lynette Thompson, Sara Lee, Asha Chase. (DA)
