HOUSTON – A federal judge said she was not getting involved in whether an insurer should pay for Texas financier R. Allen Stanford’s latest criminal defence team.
During a court hearing yesterday in Houston, United States District Judge Nancy Atlas said any disagreements between Stanford and Lloyd’s of London, would have to be worked out between themselves.
The insurer is refusing to approve Stanford’s newest criminal attorney, saying it’s already spent more than US$6 million on lawyers. (AP)
