THE long-standing dispute between Alexandra School principal Jeff Broomes and the Barbados Secondary Teachers Union (BSTU) remains unresolved.
For three hours yesterday several Alexandra teachers met with the officials to discuss the matter.
Later in the afternoon, the BSTU officials met with shop stewards from several schools. The union is expected to call a Press conference next week.
BSTU and Broomes have been at odds over issues that date back to 2006.
The impasse reached a head last December and January when the Barbados Secondary Teachers Union staged industrial action with about two dozen teachers withdrawing their services from the St Peter secondary school. (MK)
