St Mary’s, Belmont in netball final

TWO-TIME champions St Mary’s and Belmont will meet tomorrow at the Wildey Gymnasium to decide the winner of the 2010 Pine Hill Dairy Primary Schools’ Netball Competition.
St Mary’s eliminated defending champions Ellerton 9-6 in the semi-finals yesterday at the Netball Stadium, while Belmont knocked out multiple champions St Giles 7-4.
For St Mary’s, goal shooter Rakiesha Joseph scored five goals from six attempts and goal attack Shaneca Hadaway four from seven to break a 3-3 half-time deadlock.
Adrienne Scantlebury led Ellerton with four from five and Shereisa Wilkinson had two from three.
Belmont led 3-1 at half-time and went on to secure their spot in the final through goal attack Trishan Deane who scored all seven goals; Nikita Foster scored four from five for St Giles.
The tournament will wrap up from 9:30 a.m. tomorrow with the shooting competition, followed by the third-place play-off between Ellerton and St Giles and the much-anticipated final.
