IRENE – United States goalkeeper Tim Howard’s bruised ribs are improving, and the United States Soccer medical staff said yesterday he was expected to play against Group C leaders Slovenia on Friday.
The medical staff decided that Howard didn’t need any further tests after examining him, and the federation said he was making “substantial improvement”.
