Trying against odds to get automobile insurance

Date:

Share post:

I AM 22 YEARS OLD and I’ve had my licence for two months and two weeks now.

I’ve been calling various insurance companies to try to get a car. I am planning to buy insurance, or to be put under someone’s policy.

Most insurance companies say that “you have to be at least 25 years old” and only one said, I have to have at least a year’s “experience”.

Thankfully ONE company is willing to insure the car. But please tell me, what experience could I be obtaining if I can’t rent a car, insure a car, or be on someone’s policy.

It is illegal to drive an uninsured car and it is a high risk for a policy holder to have someone driving their car regularly that isn’t under their policy.

What is the sense of getting a driver’s licence if you can’t be a regular driver of a car? How can I gain experience If I can’t drive a car regularly without being a risk to the policy holder of a car of which I’m not under the policy?
