PORT ELIZABETH, South Africa (AP) — Chile has included top striker Humberto Suazo in its lineup to start Monday’s Group H match against Switzerland at the World Cup.
Suazo, the leading scorer in South American qualifying, did not feature in Chile’s opening 1-0 win over Honduras due to a left thigh injury.
Steven Von Bergen has replaced injured defender Philippe Senderos in the Switzerland lineup for the match at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium. The Swiss upset European champion Spain 1-0 in its first match.
Von Bergen came on in the 36th minute of the Spain match after Senderos injured his right ankle. Senderos will also miss Switzerland’s final group match against Honduras.
