TAKING BODYBUILDING to the community. This initiative was undertaken by the Barbados Natural Bodybuilding Federation following the conclusion of the Barbados Bodybuilding Classic at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, earlier this month.   A talk shop was held at the Desmond Haynes Sports Complex last week in which 35 young people interacted with Nancy Taylor of the United States, the reigning Miss Montana. “This initiative had never yet been undertaken and it was felt that it was necessary in order to bring awareness to the sport,” coordinator Ivor Worrell told MIDWEEK SPORT.The group of young people comprised netballers, cricketers and summer camp assistants.According to Worrell, Taylor spoke to the youth on issues such as proper eating habits, the need to exercise, rest, discipline, and the importance of the consumption of fluids.“She further spoke to them about the need to commit themselves and to give of their best at whatever they do,” he added.
