THE ANNUAL Sheryl Hackett Memorial Inter-house Singing Competition comes off at Alexandra School tomorrow at 7 p.m.The competition has been in existence since 2003, known simply as the Inter-house Singing Competition.In 2005 the name Sheryl Hackett Memorial was attached to memorialise the Barbadian singer who was an old scholar of the Alexandra School.Over the years, the Sheryl Hackett Memorial Inter-house Singing Competition unearthed hidden talent within the school, giving students the opportunity to showcase their singing skills. It has become a staple of the school’s annual activities as the children look forward to its staging each year. This year’s contestants are: Tillieann Whittaker and Patrice Crichlow of Arnold House; Naomi Clarke and Krystal Skeete of Frederick House; Leann Payne and Asha Goddard of Lysons House; Rhea Parris and Ashawnya Bellamy of O’Neal House; Joaquin Brewster and Kerrie Bruce of Skinner House. The three wild cards are Larien Lynch and Alanna Marshall of Skinner House and Chanice Thomas of Arnold House. (PR)
