Calypsonian Prince Yellow has added firefighter to his resumé.The seasoned performer has joined members of the Barbados Fire Service in encouraging people to be more cautious so as to stem the rising number of fires. On a night when there were few bright sparks in the Celebrity Tent, which faced judgement at the Barbados Yacht Club on Saturday night, Prince Yellow set the place ablaze with the uptempo Fire. He sang in part:Dey Burning down properties/ Causing casualtiesDestroying de sugar crop/ Burning non-stopAs in a raging fire, the place was quickly engulfed by the catchy rhythm and melody, and members in the sparse album responded instinctively. They were dancing in their seats and clapping along, and some jumped to their feet in loud applause when Prince Yellow finished the last line.Although it is not customary for encores to be given on judging night, an exception was made in that instance and Prince Yellow treated fans to a little bit more. Celebrity strikes up again tonight at the Yacht Club at 8.
