Students of the Louise Woodvine Dance Academy made themselves, teachers, family and friends proud on Saturday night at their end-of-year show.In beautifully designed costumes, the young dancers showcased the skills and styles – from ballet to jazz, to hip hop – they had mastered after a year of hard work and dedication. The students, ranging from primary level to adult, were engaging with their original dances.Obviously a well rehearsed show, the dances flowed in quick succession; dancers moving dramatically but gracefully across the stage much to the appreciation of a packed Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre hall.Guest performers and past students Julia Headley and Megan Navarro gave splendid performances of Sebago and Illuminated respectively, each piece being choreographed by its dancer.Impressive among the primary level performances were Circle Of Life and the interpretation of the ever popular Singing In the Rain; and among the adults, the stylistic representation of the song Battlefield by Jordin Sparks.
