Jamaica’s Olympic and world 100 metres champion Shelly-Ann Fraser has tested positive for a prohibited substance.Fraser failed the test at the Diamond League meet in Shanghai on May 23 after taking medication to treat “toothache”.The 23-year-old was due to run at the Diamond League meeting in Lausanne, Switzerland yesterday but withdrew before the event.“It is a minor doping violation. We have nothing to hide and decided to admit she had a positive result,” Fraser’s club president Bruce James told the Jamaica Observer.Fraser tested positive for painkiller ‘Oxycodone’ which is on the World Anti-Doping Agency’s 2010 Probihited Substances list as a narcotic. However, it is not classified as either a performance enhancer or a masking agent.
