Ryan wins silver

World champion Ryan Brathwaite won a silver medal last night at the North America, Central America and Caribbean Under-23 championships in Miramar, Florida.
Brathwaite, 22, clocked a personal best 13.10 seconds in the 110 metres hurdles behind American Ronnie Ash, but it was not a national record with a tailwind of 3.1. Ash won gold in 12.98 seconds and compatriot Johnny Dutch was third in 13.30.
Barbadian Shane Brathwaite was fourth in 13.80 seconds. Shakera Reece was sixth in the women’s 100m final, in 11.71 seconds while Rico Tull (10.93) was sixth in his heat and did not advance to the men’s final. (SAT)
