A NUMBER OF international stars are being forced to cancel upcoming concerts because of poor ticket sales.According to entertainment news site Starpulse.com, the cancellation follows news that America’s concert revenues are down in 2010 following a stellar 2009.Barbadian singing sensation Rihanna scrapped the launch of her Last Girl On Earth Tour with Ke Seibert last week. Tour promoters of the Umbrella hit-maker blamed changes in production for the cancellation.However, Rihanna has been hit hard again. Her show at Indiana’s Verizon Wireless Music Centre scheduled to take place on August 3 has been called off, according to ticketing websites. It is believed poor sale figures have forced the move. Meanwhile, the Jonas Brothers and stars of American Idol have also been awarded a “piece of America’s cruel summer”. They too have been forced to cancel concerts due to poor ticket sales.Promoters behind the American Idols Live tour have scrapped eight shows, while the Jonas Brothers have stunned industry experts by cutting 16 dates from their 2010 summer tour.
