A prayer for West Indies cricket

I AM PRAYING that the Lord Himself will raise up a small band of His followers who enjoy watching the game; who would be interested in getting involved in the administration of West Indies cricket and who have something tangible to offer.

I’m thinking about men and women of vision who have been gifted by God Himself with the ability to see into the future to some extent where cricket is concerned.

People who would be able to translate this foresight into something meaningful and beneficial in creating an excellent cricket product that would bring glory to God and much happiness to Caribbean cricket fans everywhere.

I can visualise and hear the scoffers now: pipe dreams, pie-in-the-sky rubbish, wishful thinking and the like.

Well, all I will say is that the God whom I serve is able to do anything which He pleases. It goes without saying then that. I’m urging other Christian cricket fans to join hands in praying for the complete transformation of Caribbean cricket.
