ROTHERLY RAIDERS secured the 2010 Division Two table tennis championship with a comprehensive 4-1 victory over Rising Sun at the Table Tennis Centre, Nursery Drive, last Tuesday night. There are still a couple of rescheduled matches to be played but they will have no effect on the top five positions.Sports & Games Spinners, the only other team in a position to deny the Raiders when play started on Tuesday, also won comfortably, but the Raiders won handsomely enough to hold on to the top position.Spinners were as ruthless as Raiders in whipping Scouters 4-1. The results left Spinners and Raiders locked on 35 points but Raiders won 71 games and lost 14 to the Spinners’ 70 wins and 25 losses.ThirdRising Sun, though finishing on the losing end on Tuesday, were third with 31 points, followed by Scouters on 30 and Fast Loopers on 25.
