A day after winning the Sagicor General Twenty20 cricket competition, ICBL Empire had to turn to four of the elder statesmen to take the field in the LIME Division 1 tournament yesterday.Carlisle Best, 51, his former Barbados opening partner Mike Inniss, 45, club president Maurice Gaskin, 44, and Robert McDonald, 43, were required for duty for the club’s fourth round match against CGI Maple at Trents.The quartet was pressed into service because of the unavailability of five of Empire’s Barbados selectees – Ryan Hinds, Kevin Stoute, Alcindo Holder, Javon Searles and Jason Hinds – for the Caribbean Twenty20 competition starting on Thursday.
