THE BARBADOS LEGISLATORS – post Independence – have been and still are mostly black and males.
They have given women the upper-hand in child custody, child support, child visitation, domestic abuse and marital divorce.
But when it comes down to prostitution the women are arrested, when the police chooses to and some time expelled or deported from the country.
The men (Johns) are spared from this. The prostitution act was carried out by both genders.
