Alleyne sends Dulwich into final

ANOTHER outstanding all-round performance by Anthony Alleyne has landed Dulwich College a place in the final of Sir Garfield Sobers International Schools’ Cricket Tournament. The English school will meet Queen’s Park of  Trinidad in the championship match at Kensington Oval today.Alleyne, a former Barbados youth team player and ex-Queen’s College student, starred with bat and ball yesterday in helping Dulwich College to a 42-run victory over Presentation College of Trinidad in the semi-finals at the Banks ground.The left-handed Alleyne struck 55 and teamed up with William McVicor, who made 57,  to carry Dulwich to a competitive total of 170 for nine off their allotted 40 overs.Alleyne returned to capture three wickets for 21 runs with his  off spin to help limit the opposition to 128in 36 overs.In the other semi-final, Queen’s Park defeated the highly fancied Top Level Academy of Guyana by two wickets at Foursquare Oval.
