Defending champs Combermere into U-15 semis

PERSISTENT rain throughout the day prevented a ball from being bowled on Wednesday in any of the matches, during the final day of the preliminary round of games in the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) LIME Under-15 Championship.At Waterford, Combermere gained one point by virtue of their match with The St Michael School ending in a no-decision and finished on 24 points in Zone A. That point helped the defending champions to reach the semi-finals as the best second-placed team overall in the three zones.In the semi-finals, they will join Lodge who headed Zone A with 29 points, last year’s losing finalists Deighton Griffith who topped Zone B with 16 points, and Garrison, winners of Zone C with 34 points.A draw is to be made by the BCA to determine the line-ups for the semi-finals which will be played next week at neutral venues.
