It was preparations royale on Thursday as workers continued to get Bushy Park ready for tomorrow’s Soca Royale.Local stage manager guru Dorsie Boyce patrolled the grounds, ensuring that everyone and everything was on plan. He also took some time to view the proceedings from a bluff with some security from the Prime Minister’s Office to guarantee that safety was paramount for tomorrow.Workers showed little fear of heights even as they perched precariously on top of the roof of the stage assembling the physical structure.  Another set of workers formed a human chain up a 20-foot scaffolding which swayed frighteningly as if moving to the sweet soca strains that will reverberate from the massive speakers will be attached to the caffolding. The speakers, with their weight, are expected to give stability to the scaffolding while providing music for miles around tomorrow.
