STOCKHOLM – Organisers say Olympic champion Usain Bolt has confirmed he will run the 100 meters at the Diamond League meet in Stockholm on August 6, setting up a showdown against rivals Asafa Powell and Tyson Gay for the first time since last year’s world championships.Bolt set a world record of 9.58 seconds at the worlds in Berlin in 2009, but has not faced both of his top competitors in the same race since then.Powell and Gay had previously been confirmed for the event, while DN Galan organisers had worked to secure the financing for Bolt’s participation.Meet director Rajne Soderberg said yesterday it was “a great pleasure” to have the world’s top three sprinters running in Stockholm.
