How would you define your personal style?
A casual mix of class and cool. I am drawn to classic men’s wear but I like to add or subtract elements in order to make it my own.
Do you find that you follow fashion trends or do you play by your own rules?
I enjoy fashion and observing trends as they come and go. However, I do not exclusively subscribe to trends but rather incorporate a couple within my own personal style.Has your fashion sense changed over the years or has it remained the same?My desire to be different is still there but now I’m more sensible about fashion, and my taste is more specific now that I’m older.Are there any colours that you tend to shy away from, and if so why?Brown because it’s so close to my complexion; brown on brown isn’t exactly the strongest look.As a child were you always into clothes or did you grow into your own fashion sense?Yes always. Besides the basic core values imparted while growing up, in my family there was always a strong emphasis on being well groomed and looking the part, and this gave me a heightened sense of fashion.How does your day-to-day life factor into your wardrobe choices?Well weekdays business attire dominates because of my corporate work environment. Weekends are casual and sometimes dressed up depending on the event, but honestly dressing for either part just comes natural to me.Are there any designers that you like to wear or whose clothing stands out with you?I don’t spend money on designer clothing (shirts and pants) but I will splurge on accessories such as a watch, belt, shoes, wallet, travel bag etc. If styled properly they can make an inexpensive look, look expensive plus these accessories normally last many more years than the clothes themselves. I wear inexpensive clothing brands like Express and Zara but my shoes, belts etc are a mix of Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Kenneth Cole, Aldo and Converse.What are five things that every man should have in their closet?A well tailored suit or blazerStandard dark wash jeansFlat front khaki slacksFitted white dress shirtQuality matching leather shoes and belt.
