The multimillion-dollar Port Ferdinand Marina is continuing to take shape at Retreat, St Peter. Work began on the private, exclusive 12-acre facility last year and is expected to be completed in 2012. Earlier this year, developer Bjorn Bjerkhamn, head of the Jada Group, said it would bring in close to $1 billion in foreign exchange and employ about 500 people. It is expected to consist of 120 berths and 96 three-bedroom luxury apartments. In this Bryan Walker photo, workmen are shown at work on the project.
